ooopps!

When I purchased my boat new 10 years ago, I removed my tach on my Merc 40h, 2st, 3cyl and in my infinite wisdom (or lack of) I didn't identify what leads went where. Now that I would like to adjust my pitch on my prop, they tell me to reinstall the tach. I think I can do it if someone could tell me where the IGN and SEND leads go to. Any takers?

Re: skipper

Ground is -- well, ground.
"I" (ignition) is not really ignition but rather the "A" (accessory) terminal on the ignition switch (or the +12 volt connection on any of the other gauges).
"S" (send) is the tach sense signal from the engine.

Re: skipper

thanks,

Question though, where does the SEND wire attach at the engine? I have a 3 cyl without points so I don't know where to start tracking back.

Help?
