I have a 1963 fiberglass boat 15' in which the inner hull that you stand on is soft in the middle 1' behind the seats. Is there a support under the or do I just refiberglass that area again. It gives when you sept on it and i hea rd a crack when I put my knee on the very center.

It has to be ripped open for inspection. Chances are the supports under the floor have rotted out, along with the floor.

Should I just cut the floor out right behind the seats as this is the only spot that is soft. It is only soft 1' back from the seats and only 1' wide from the middle. If so I should just cut the floor right there and put the piece back after the support repair.
