Sliding Window Track

My windshield is circa 1976 and is a Taylor Made. I want to replace the window tracks and was trying to remove the double glass sliders from the frames (both panes slide). It appears that these were never made to lift out like sliding windows in a house. So my question is, were these made to lift out originally and the track is still somehow holding them or were they made as permanent sliders requiring you to remove the frame and disassemble it to get the glass out and new track in?

Thanks.

Answered my own question. The side windows are welded frames. The sliders do lift out with some effort as they are a tight fit. Easier to do on the bench than on the boat... They are just old and full of dirt like everything else was on this boat.. Back to work.... Now I have to find something to restore the tracks...
