I have a 59 rude 35hp big twin. I have what apears to be a new prop. Put it on went to lake for day of fishin. Boat acted like it was slippin out of gear. Come to find out the rubber bushing inside my prop is slipping. Rubber is soft, pliable, in overal good shape. Prop has no cracks in hub, inside surface is in good shape. Drove bushing out with a hammer. Is there some kind of glue, cement ect... that can be used to bond it to the prop. Prop shop want 60.00 for repair, I can get another prop for 35.00. This one is in good shape except for slipping on bushing. please help, the fish have been waiting on me, they are getting angry! Thanks

if you can get a prop for $35 go for it. prop shop has to press the hubs back together. can't do it yourself. great motor, i have a 58 35hp Johnny.

The $60 is still a good deal because a new one will cost you about $100. I'd buy the $35 propr and send the other one to the prop shop because its always nice to keep a spare around! If you had one now, the fish would be in your cooler instead of in the lake!

x2

Always better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it!!

Get the $35 one and use it IF it works good. DON'T use it if it vibrates you or you can make a mess QUICK! Fix yours and use the other for a spare (or vice-versa), test out pitches, etc. Even if it isn't good, as stated, you still ahead $ wise.
