If it did not puncture, the leave it alone. after awhile you will not notice it. Dent doctors can not help you.

Re: Small Dent in Pontoon

I have been building and repairing pontoons for 26 years and the other posters are exactly correct, there really isn't anything you can do.

Dent doctor works with car fenders, you can bend a fender with your finger, not so with a pontoon tube and they have to get inside and work the dent out also not possible with a tube.

If this were in my shop and you insisted the dent was removed I would drill a hole, screw in a dent puller, pull the dent, fill the hole then sand and buff the area which would always look different and would more than likely be several smaller dents and all that would take about and hour and a half and I have done it dozens and dozens of times.

just put it down to experience and in a week or 2 you won't even notice it anymore.

You could get some hot glue and a long bolt and hot glue the head of the bolt to the dented area. After the hot glue cools slide a solid piece of metal (or even a 2 x 4 piece of wood with a hole drilled into it) over the threaded bolt and tighten a nut down on it and see if that dent can be pulled back out some or to normal again... Either way you haven't done any damage in trying... And if you do try this, start from the outer edges first and work toward the middle... It does work better then you'd think... Good luck and post some pictures...

It's like anything else. A new car, bike, etc. You're worried about it all the time. Then you get that first dent or scratch, and it relaxes you. Now you will not be stressing over every little thing that will happen to the boat as you own it. And it will happen. This will not be your last ding.

The first time I took our new boat out, trying to load in wind and current like you, I was off alignment a bit, and the trailer guide bunk bent the splash fin on one of my tubes. No big deal.
