Had this chip on the bottom of my boat about 15 years ago. Assumed it was just gelcoat but every trip it would blowoff. Thought nothing about it but this year I was like lets see why nothing will stick. Well I grounded it all out and realized it was a small hole. Dont know where it goes into. Boat is always trailer stored and after each trip only a few drops out. The actual hole is about the size of a dime. 1/2 by 1/2. Best way to repair? Small piece of fiberglass cloth and resin or just fill the small void with like marinetex?

Make sure the area is clean, usually by sanding it. Wipe with acetone. Marine tex or even polyester marine putty will work fine.
