Hi there, Here's a few ideas that may help. Make sure the black electrical wire eye terminal is connected to a good ground such as at the fuse box. The black wire has been left off many times during installation and you will not get a display. (< Happens often)

Ensure your batteries are fully charged as weak batteries will affect the display. (< Seen it a few times)

One of the data cable pins may have started to back out of the connector or in the wrong location. (< It's rare but it's happened more then once)

Internally the gauge display could be defective from new. (< A bit more common)

Try reconnecting the data plugs as sometimes they just need a reboot. (< Very common)

Also try a master reset on the gauge. (< Often needed)

If you haven't already you may find an answer within this very long thread. http://forums.iboats.com/forum/engi...rds/276844-how-to-install-a-smartcraft-system

And last but not least, if none of the above works out, you might want to try your posting your smartcraft question with one of the best smartcraft technicians on the internet. His user name is EuropeanAM. http://www.bbcboards.net/mercury-motors/

Hope this helps, good luck.:)
