I installed smart tabs sx on my boat a month ago. I started at hole 3 and had excellent planing speed 15-18 mph, but a slight loss in top speed. I tried hole 2 and my planing speed went up to 20+ mph. I also tried hole 4 and had good low planing speed but a loss of top end. It seems I am having a loss of top end on all the settings I have tried so far.
The first time tried them on hole 3 my bow rise was like in the video on the website. Now I am noticing more bow rise while still on hole 3. The bow rise on hole 2 was almost the same as without tabs.
I cant seem to find a happy medium. If anyone has these tabs on a Q4 with a 4.3L 190, which hole did you find best?
I have the 60# actuators which is correct for my application.
Would you folks recomend me trying hole 1 and maybe even 5 and is there a way to do tests at cruising speed rather than WOT. Its getting kinda expensive since the boat drinks heavily at this speed.
My WOT w/o tabs was 49.5 gps. The best so far with tabs is 46.5 and that was on hole 3. Any help is appreciated as always.
