I just used my Smart Tabs for the first time today after installing them a few days ago. They performed as promised!
It seems like I get on plane almost immediately. The main test was how it handled chop and wakes from other boats. That was the main reason I got them. I just got a 19' Bayliner cuddy after owning a 20' Sea Ray cuddy and noticed that the Bayliner really didn't handle rough seas as well. Probable reasons were: shorter length, lighter weight, and weight more towards the rear. It porpoised alot and I had to have the trim all the way down almost all of the time.
With the Smart Tabs there was a noticable difference when I went over my first wake. No porpoising! It was like the boat now had shock absorbers. Evened out the chop, allowed me to go faster through it, and allowed me to trim up. Definately a more stable ride. I had set up the little string- rubber band thing to check that the tabs were actuating at the correct time and with that I could tell that they were making little adjustments as I went over bigger wakes. Cool! There may have been a little more spray at the back of the boat, but I'm actually not sure what it looked like before I had the tabs.
There is now no wander at slow speeds, also.

Overall, Best money I ever spent on any of my boats. Highly recommended!
