My Smart Tabs arrived from iboats and I'm checking over all the parts and install info. Here's what I found:
1. Nauticus indicates on their site that the template for the angle is included, but I don't see any included.
2. The video in the installation section says to use the sealant included or another marine sealant. My package didn't have any included, so I don't know if the video is for only certain sets of tabs or not. What is everyone using - 4200, 5200, or something like that?
3. The installation instructions included state to use the "snap & lock" connectors for the hinge to the plate which would require 4. Instead, I believe I received 4 nylon/plastic bolts 3/8 x 1/75", but the instructions make no mention of them or the change. Are these the bolts that people are changing to stainless because they break? If so, how are you tightening them without tightening your hinge from moving?
4. The included instructions show using a bolt on one end of the actuator and a "snap & lock" pin on the other end, but the website shows using "snap & lock" pins on both ends of the actuator. I received a total of 2 "snap & lock" connectors and two 5/16" x 1" nylon bolts which should work for the actuator even if it's not as stated with the online instructions.
What combination is everyone else receiving in your parts bags and how are you using them if they're not matching with the various sets of instructions included and online? Are most people chaning the nylon bolts to stainless?
