Smartcraft RPM?

I have a 2005 Ranger Reata with smartcraft gauge but the gauge reads everything but the tach unless you swap the gauge to the second motor then only the tach works. How do I get the smartcraft to show the RPM along with the other gauges on one motor? It only has one motor si I'm guessing its wired wrong somewhere. Thanks for any I put.

The gauge is set up for two engines? Perhaps, if it isn't already, set the gauge for only a single engine, that way, any and all sensor address coming in to the gauge will display for the one engine selection.
