I am sure I already know the CORRECT answer to this but here goes:<br /><br />Apparently the previous owner of my 1985 Johnson 6hp Sail Master snapped off a bolt in the lower unit holding the middle of the 3 lower unit sections together.<br />This bolt is one that holds the aluminum lower two units to the top unit- lower long shaft is 3 unit sectional.<br />My question- anyone ever drill out, re-fill and re-drill an aluminum casing before?<br />Option 2 is to re-assemble with JB Weld in hopes I never need to disassemble the midl section again- can drop the lower unit to change impellers without affecting this.<br /><br />HELP! Anyone...Anything......any assistance is greatly appreciated.<br /><br />Jason
