Yeah, they are not exactly fuel efficient are they? I don't know wht my horsepower is, but the number 11 seems to stick in my mind for some reason. I plan on mostly using the plow truck to do the majority of the work, but I still need the blower for the close-in stuff. This will be my first winter at this house, it will be interesting. My old house had a small driveway, this one is quite large. Can't wait, it has been so cold here, I am hoping for snow so it can warm up to the 30s....

Ahh the 91 Halloween storm. That was a very fun day.. Work was cancelled and my new wife and I dressed up in our cold weather gear and hiked about a mile to Perkins for breakfast. We unstuck about 5 cars along the way as well.

Djohns, if you remember, we had like 25" that same year on Thanksgiving.

For those who live in a warm climate and have never experienced a large snowfall like that, you are missing something.

It going down to 9 degrees tonight.. Its hard to beleive I was out on Lake Mkta just a few weeks ago.. in my shorts.

Re: Snowblower fun fest

I lived in Madison, Wisconsin for a number of years as a kid. Did Kindergarten through 2nd grade. My fondest memories from there are the winters. Us getting snowed into the house and having to dig our day out. Finding the vague car-shaped hump of snow to dig the car out. The ice storms, oh the ice storms....and how the stupid school bus was ALWAYS running. I swear that thing had a plow blade on the front or something. I do not remember ever missing school due to snow. Here, we get a lousy 6 inches and they cancel school for the day....
