Says it:
Prevents Ethanol Related Problems
Prevent Phase Seperation
Prevent Corrosion

Cleans up Fuel injectors & Intake Valve Deposits
Reduces Fuel Consumption
Dispereses Moisture
Increase Power
Maintains Fuel Stability for up to 1 year
Eliminates the need for other fuel additives

Thats about it!!

I love marina fuel!! .90 cents a gallon more than fuel at a gas station when they save .25 cents per gallon on the road tax! You want ethanol free? No problem! Add another .40 cents per gallon!!

I asked why so much? Their answer?!? BECAUSE WE CAN. How can you argue with logic like that?

He said it was cheaper.

To the OP: Does it also cure male pattern baldness?

Re: So called "Marine Fuel" Your thoughts?

I just checked out their website, and it seems I've been using this gas all summer. The marina I fill up at (Clearwater Municipal Marina) is listed as one of the locations. I've had no issues using it, other then it takes less from my wallet then the other marina. I'm moving in about a week, and will be using regular old non-ethanol once I move, so I'll see if there is any issue with the switch, although I doubt there will be.

My marina sells gas with valvtech in it. Marina guy said dont worry about treating your gas with the valvtech in it. I still put stabilizer in my fuel for the winter layup. I have been on the internet looking up valvtech but there is not much info on it.

Valvetect is ordiniary gas delivered to a marina. The "special additive" with lots of promised benefits is physically added to the gas on site. The "benefits" of the additive give the marina a reason to justify the extra cost of gas over normal gas at your local gas station.

In Florida they are still allowed to sell non-ethanol gas (at least for marine use) Valvtect supply both ethanol and non-ethanol marine gas in our part of Florida to marinas.
The additives are specially made for marine boating including long storage.
Our marina switched to ethanol two years ago and yes, I had clogged fuel filters on my 5.7EFI causing severe power loss. They then switched back to non-ethanol (promised for the forseeable future) and yes, no fuel related problems since.....

Re: So called "Marine Fuel" Your thoughts?

Per their website, it appears that "Valvtect Marine Gasoline" is merely treated ethanol gasoline.
http://www.valvtect.com/marineFuelGasoline.asp

Note the little gas nozzle pic where it says:
"With Ethanol Gas Treatment"

So your still burning ethanol gas that has had more counter ethanol chemicals added.

I cant figure how they are able to sell it cheaper then road gas.

Jeeperman,

This is the update I was wondering about! :) Does anyone have any insight as to how this fuel is cheaper?

I'm guessing it either doesn't contain something expensive that automobile fuel contains or its made different from scratch....

I cant figure how they are able to sell it cheaper then road gas.

Saw a blurb on the tube last night about the higher cost of turkeys this year. Seems it's primarily due to the increased cost of ...

... wait for it ...

... corn feed!
