My serial number on my 100 hp merc is 0D028202 so that would make it a 1993? Thanks for the help. It could also be 0D0Z8202 I am not sure of the one letter. It could be a 2 or Z

Agreed, Engine Serial Number 0D028202 is a 1991 MERCURY 100 ELPTO (4 Cylinder) Model Number 1100412LD
