Requested? Yes. Did he grant the request? No! Davis is very busy trying to sneak in bills before his last day. So pathetic, IMHO. Arny has started the wheels going on auditing the books though. This will be quite interesting, don't ya think? All the dirty laundry will be cleaned and aired out, hopefully. No much else to report.

To think, how many illegals (read terrorists) will get drivers licences until then? Thousands perhaps?

Heck, I'm headed over there next week. I'll think I'll pick up a couple of extras for myself.

Any orders from anyone else?

Re: So how is Arny making out in CA.

The CTA (California Teachers Asso.) have hit the airways with a big media blitz to gather support for massive spending increases for education.
The CTA and the powerful teachers unions are the most aggressive lobbys in the state.
Education in California is close to one third of the entire states budget. California spends close to the top in per student money yet rates close to the bottom in results.

Facts are what they are and sadly the CTA still wants business as usual.

The citizens here are looking for real cuts in spending. Nowhere would a cut be more efficient and more deserved then to cut the massive size of our state government. I never understood why any government employee, state or otherwise should be an elite citizen. One with much larger pensions, benefit packages, and unchallenged job security then the average Joe Taxpayer.
Not only has this massive, self perpetuating, tax gobbleing group seem to be compensated like elite citizens, but are long since started to act like an elite also.
This is meant to include not only the almighty CTA, but nearly all in State and especially Federal positions.

The exception seems to be very local Counties and municipalities. Here it still seems it's equal pay/benefits for a job well done.

Re: So how is Arny making out in CA.

The problem here in Calipornia is there is virtually no accountabillity of where our tax dollars go, this includes education, big time.
Years ago, before the lottery was adopted in California, education was paid for thru our property taxes, state sales tax, state income tax, etc. When the lottery came about, aproximately 35% the money raised was earmarked to go to SUPPLEMENT the schools budgets, by law, not to totally fund the budgets. Butttt.....The filthy ploiticians decided with all the extra 100's of millions of dollars would allow them to use regular tax money earmarked for education, for their "pork barrel" projects, knowing the school tax deficete would be made up by the lottery income.
These fat "thieves" have deleted the school tax money so bad, in almost every election, if not every election since the lottery has been effect, there have been school tax measures and bond issues on just about every election ballot to replace what was taken from the tax money originally deticated to education.
More often than not, when a bond issue passes, it's for upgrading the schools in one way or another, thru construction, new equipment for the class rooms, etc. But scads of this money never reaches the schools basic needs, due to cost over the "cost over runs" in construction and price increases of equipment and undisclosed expenses, before it reaches the receipent schools.
It is not uncommon to have teachers spend a portion of their own paycheck on necessities to keep their classrooms running, that the school can't afford. This includes, pencils, writing paper, etc. Just the basics that the children need and use daily.
I hope the accounting that is suppose to be forthcomming will reach very, very deep in to the spending habits of the Calif. board of education and the a-hole politicians who have helped bleed Calif. dry. Calif. spends 27 million dollars a day more than it takes in, with no relief in site.
You wonder why DAVIS was recalled after he turned an 18 billion dollar surplus in to a 35+ billion dollar defecit in a year and a half. Ask your leftie, socialist politicians, they should have all the answers. Rember, "It's For The CHILDREN."
(I bet you've heard that before.)
.....Film at 11.........Bob in Calif...

Those bills would have passed if Davis signed it or not.

Arny has a lot of undoing to do.

He's has already threatened to take his legislation to the people if the assembly and house make it difficlut for him. My guess is that next november, a major election year, there will be a lot of Arny bills on the ballot.

Unfortunately Arny is putting alot of pete wilson's people back into government positions. These are the people that really REALLY got california into the energy mess. Davis was just too inept and spinleless to take action.

Its going to be fun

Not to mention the massive dollars spent on public relations campains to make the public think they have it rough Bob.

This kind off serious dollars can go a long way to keep thier teacher from dipping into thier own pockets for pencils. :D :D

http://cal-access.ss.ca.gov/Lobbying/Employers/Detail.aspx?id=1146811&view=activity

Remember, close to one third of our states budget, not including mandated law that makes the gaming money earmarked for education.

For the children? I wish it were so. What a big fat tax gobbleing political machine.

At least the gaming industry, the largest political contributors in this state, is a private one.
