So I just wanna vent.. Lol I started to paint my 56 SportWin 15 last night. I decided to paint it O.D. Green with the white and black factory stripes. My boat is a 1957 14 foot aluminum Sport Kraft, it is O.D. As well with a P40 War Hawk paint job. Any ways.... The white went on great. The black went on great. Then I went to the green. (self etching primer under all that) every bit of O.D. that touched the black over spray on the cowl melted. I let it dry and tried again after lots of sanding. Same results. I was so mad! I eventually took a razor blade to all the melted paint and removed it. I eventually got the green to look half way decent. My boat is no show queen. Made for fishing creeks, rivers, and all the other ugly paint scratching fishing holes.. So now that I'm happy with the paint I start to peel off the blue tape that is protecting the white and black stripes.. The white looks great less one small spot to touch up. The black looks like... Well u get the idea. It must have not set up or I didn't wait long enuf to see my masterpiece... Everywhere the tape touched it I now have to color sand and re-spray. What a task.. One day I will learn to slow down. Lol I hope I have better luck on the rest of the motor. Hope you guys get a kick out of my venting.

that's why I don't paint 'em and just leave 'em ugly :) nothing wrong with a little venting.
