So THAT'S why you don't wanna disassemble the trim pump valve body!

I made the mistake of disassembling my trim pump assembly. Just had a brain fart reading the instructions, and didn't realize the "usual suspects" (the O-rings) were in those round ports fore and aft.

So, anyway, this post from years ago (see the link) looks like it's gonna save my bacon, 'cuz I still have all the pieces.

But I can't tell where to put those little brass bushings/shims marked with a capital "C" in the top picture (also attached)

Can somebody tell me what I'm missing?

I see the text says "Shims C" are used to adjust pressure on older models. Does that mean they go under the big spring?
