Another ? regarding my 140 Chevy four banger, in my 80 Seaswirl.

ON the block, next to the coil, is what looks like a ceramic resistor. A blue wire comes into it, and one leaves it. Right now, one of the wires is connected to the positive side of the coil.

I ask if this is correct, as last time I worked on starting it, I am not sure I got it on the right spot.

Thanks....

Well, the 140's didn't come with a ballast resistor for that year, and it also wouldn't have use a blue wire. My guess is a previous owner removed the resistor wire from the system and installed a ballast resistor and wired it in. It comes from the ignition side of the ignition switch on one side of the resistor, and then from the resistor to the positive side of the coil. So it sounds like it's wired in correctly. You should also have a "Hot start" wire from the starter solenoid to the positive side of the coil for higher starting voltage while cranking the engine.
