i keep a 15 watt panel on mine, and it helps out a bit to keep them topped off, but it takes several days and i just have one battery

To actually charge the batteries you need a big panel, if all you want to do is keep them topped off a smaller one will work. The reason you don't see them on smaller power boats is because the cost and size of the panel needed for it to actually work becomes an issue.

I just have some cabin lights and the radio so I'm just looking to keep them topped off. I'm just not sure what watt panel will work for that

Get the largest panel you can and also make sure it has a regulator/control panel with it.
