Sold my Four Winns 150 Freedom yesterday. Did it the right way which made me feel real comfortable with the sale. The buyer (1st time boat owner) was real serious so I took the boat to the lake of their choice. Showed them everything I could think iof on setup, operating, bimini, convertible top, fish finder, trolling motor, everything. Put it in the water trying to expalin everything I was doing, giving advise and tips. Took them for a ride (dang it ran good!), closed the deal, got what I wanted to get out of it money wise and felt really good about it.
I tell you, selling a boat really can open your eyes (Craigslist). Lots of people who call and say they are coming over to look and they never show up, lots of people who assume you are desperate, and lots of scammers (I only have a certified check and my "mover" will pick up the boat).
Sure felt good to sell it to someone who looks like they will appreciate something that I cared for and took care of.
