Re: some info on Missouri needed
Stopped in last spring to see an old friend that lives in Branson. It was real windy that day and with his 16 footer, I couldn't talk him into the "big water", so we drove up to Springfield... seemed like a very nice town.

We fished just north of town in a small lake - maybe 1000 acres at the most, Lake Fellow, I think was it's name. It was less than a 5 minute drive from Springfield. Anyhow, caught 15 or so Walleyes between us and a handfull of fair-sized LM Bass, but there was a kicker! I tied into some kind of Sea Monster! Took me all over the place, it did. I thought I had a wall-hanging Walleye for sure. When it finally came out of the water - and boy, did it ever, I was face to face with the biggest MUSKIE I've ever had the pleasure of locking horns with. She was a beauty - 42 1/2"! I really wanted to put that fish on my wall, but my friend told me there's a slot for keeping them, so I let it go. Come to find out later that there IS a slot, and mine was IN that slot!

Maybe next time.

Seems I seen some motor restrictions at the ramp though, can't recall what they were. My friend has an old Alumacraft 16' with a 40 hp Evinrude and evidently that is allowed.

A small friendly town less than 5 minutes from Muskies... I'd say the move is a good one, but that's just me. Ozarks aint too far either
