I just ran 4 props on a Lund 1800 fisherman with a 60 degree 115 looper, and I thought I would share some figures...
2 of these props are MWC alum., 1 is the original 176214, 14X17.
We ran 2 designs from MWC and I can't list the P/N's as I have not been given permission to so, but the reason I give this info will show in the end results.
176214-5650 @ 37.8mph GPS
MWC#1-13.25X17-5600 @ 37.5mph GPS
MWC#2-13.25X17-5250 @ 37.5mph GPS
176214-3000rpm-11.5mph
4000rpm-24.9mph
4500rpm-28.7mph
5000rpm-33.2mph
5500rpm-36.3mph
5650rpm-37.8mph
MWC#1-3000rpm-12.3mph
3500rpm-22.3mph
4000rpm-28.2mph
4500rpm-31.5mph
5000rpm-34.5mph
5600rpm-37.5mph
MWC#2-3000rpm-14.0mph
4000rpm-29.6mph
4500rpm-35.4mph
5000rpm-37.0mph
5275rpm-37.5mph
Then.....just to throw a curve ball, I stuck a Turbo1( in a 15P!!!!!) on.
As you can see with blade design comes changes that may affect mid-range drastically, yet have near the same top-end.
Turbo1-3000rpm-15.1mph
4000rpm-31.2mph
4500rpm-36.8mph
5000rpm-39.4mph
5500rpm-41.6mph
5700rpm-42.9mph
Remember! this is a 15 pitch against 17 pitch aluminums...
This engine is mounted all the way down and has no set-back.
This proves once again, dropping pitch doesn't always fix the problem of rpm, as the 15P put the 115 at a happier 5700, yet considerably faster, not to mention the vast improvement in mid-range.
I have 2 more rigs to test these MWC props on, then I can give P/N's.
