Hi everyone,

I'm new to boating and just picked up a 15’ Duroboat with a 35hp Evinrude. A friend at work gave me a list of maintenance to do prior to going out on the water. One of the items was to change the fuel pump. I went looking for it and couldn’t find anything that looks like what I see online. Instead, what I found was what looks to be an open area with a dangling plug and an in line fuel filter.

Does anyone one know what should be in this spot? Model is E35KLE. I believe it’s a 98.

Thanks.

Is that one of those crazy ones with the oil mixer that needs to be thrown away? I think there are two fuel pumps on those.

I believe racerone knows quite a bit about them. I have only ever seen one, it was on a Canadian fisherman's bull boat. He just bought a fuel line or something.

Get somebody that knows that motor to check it out before you run it. Trust Me.

Did a google search for 3 cylinder 35 hp Evinrude and found that the missing piece is the oil integration unit and that it has 2 fuel pumps. Also the previous owner was premixing their gas.

Im guessing I need to invest in a service manual since these motors aren’t common.

Good decision. Get the factory one and stay away from Seloc or Clymer.
