The 1st 2 pictures were from yesterday on Rt. 5 in Enfield Ct, the 2nd 4 are on Rt.5 in Longmeadow Mass about a mile from the 1st location. Any who talking to the driver it originated in Wilmington NC 12 days ago and going to Bridgewater Mass and Massachusetts State Police will not let the driver proceed because they don't have the proper permits. The fuselage is going to be used in the next Tom Cruise film.

A good old Gooney Bird. Amazing how many of them are still flying after more than 70 years. Where is the rest of it?

I don't "think" that is a DC3.
I have jumped out of DC3's on many occasions, and my memory tells me they all had:
rectangle shaped window...edges really squared off
and I thought there were 9 windows on each side (a view for a para is very important)
rear door was much lower.
Could be wrong.
Great pictures tho....can't believe such a load would be stopped....
Cheers

After further review, I think you're right. My mistake.

It looks to me like a Boeing 727 fuselage.

It has two fuselage mounted engine pylons and what's left of the intake "S" duct on the aft centerline.

And what appears to be the airstair door just forward of the empennage split line.
