Sourcing parts in/from the UK?

Is there a reliable and fairly priced source in the UK? Or will I be putting in an order with America?

I'm in need of a new prop, prop clutch, some lower unit oil (probably get this at the local chandlers), points, coils, lube wick, spark plugs, float and float pin for carb (I have a cork float and although it is still shiny I'd prefer a plastic one) and impeller for water pump. If I can afford it I'll go the whole hog and grab service kits for the water pump and carb.

Cheers, Tee.

LU Oil you can get from most auto car supply shops, so save yourself some postage there.
Not sure about the rest but some one will.
You could try searching sierra supplier Uk, in NZ the sierra supplier has cheap but good quality parts for these motors

ok parts are much cheaper from the states, but the postage is now a joke .
so it ends up cheaper over here.
postage on a prop will double its price, and there is lots of places here in the uk that are cheap enough.

where in the uk are you and I might be able to let you know of a few outlets..

but if you need all the above parts then buy another engine, because even a cheap place its gonna cost double what the engine is worth.
best place for you is on the fleebay to source a few good secondhand bits.
plugs you can get anywhere, points will be the only new stuff you need to buy from brp.
any actual engine stuff like the clutch is stupid price new.

Depending where you are, it's often quicker to order some parts direct, but there is decent UK parts coverage.

Re: Sourcing parts in/from the UK?

Thanks for the replies.

When I say clutch I mean the Clutch Hub & Tag HERE

I don't NEED a new prop, the current 1 works but is a bit jagged round the edges. It has definitely hit something quite hard. I think the prop would be the most expensive part.

Last time I was out on the water there were some starting and power issues and because I am doing a service I thought I should replace those parts that may be wearing. I plan to replace these parts but keep the old ones as spares.

If I could get all this delivered for less than ?100 I'd be happy. I'll keep looking.

If I were to get another motor, what would compare to a Johnson 4hp Twin? I like the weight and less noise :)

I am in East Anglia Phill. On the Norfolk Borads :)

Anyone ever dealt with Outboard Spares Unlimited? Maidstone based.

?100 just for delivery?
I recently sent a 25kg (55lb) package for I think ?108? with insurance (?500). Online tracking and delivered in 5 working days.

Sorry Cheetah, I meant ?100 for the parts and delivery in total. A little more cost is OK but around ?100.

Considering I paid ?150 and had a season out of it I don't think ~?100 is bad. Any thoughts?
