Hello, could anybody tell me if the Mercury spanner wrench for removing the gear case bearing carrier would also work on the 1992 force 150 hp outboard? If so, what size or part number is it for that tool? Thank you!

Probably no. Depending on the size of the Mercury lower unit it is probably too big???Those wrenches: they come in a few different sizes,
What size motor is the Mercury??

Hi Jerry,
The thing is, I do not have a mercury motor the size for the spanner wrench that would be needed to remove the retaining ring or nut for the bearing carrier on the force 150. But I have noticed that it is very hard if not impossible to find The part number FT11275 spanner wrench for the force motor. But I definitely see spanner wrenches very available and affordable for a mercury lower unit. Any suggestion of where I can find one new or used? I’ve checked eBay, marineengine.com, and other others with no luck.

Unfortunately your not gonna find a new wrench. :(
Someone selling one on Ebay is another that's not gonna happen either.
You can cut the old ring out and replace it??

Making a tool from pipe stock could be the answer. Look for video's on how to make it.
Google the following: A whole bunch of stuff opened.
