I have a 1984 Suzuki DT 50. I bought it used with no manuals. Can someone recommend the proper spark plug gap and oil mix ratio. It has VRO but its too rich. I want to mix it manually. Thanks.

Re: Spark Gap and Oil Mix Ratio

I would check with your local Suzuki dealer. I would guess 50:1 but I know some of the smaller suzukis are 100:1. Also the gap can be told by the mechanic at a suzuki dealer. A lot of plugs come pre gapped though.

50:1 is the ratio but it will smoke alot your oil injection system is metered so it will go from 100:1 to 50:1 depending on the angle of the throttle plates,I would have the oil injection unit fixed, the spark plug gap is .035-.039
