I have a 1995 nitro with a mercury 115 oil injected outboard and i'm going to change my plugs once i get it out of the shop, having a new waterpump put in and i'm wondering if anyone knows which plugs i need and what the gap might be on these plugs? and is there one plug that will give you more performance than the other?

Thanks ray

Hey Ray,
It's me, Hooty, over here in Coppell. Welcome to iboats.
I've got all OMC stuff and can't keep up with the Mercury stuff. I do know that the hot Merc guys run NGK Plugs. I just don't know which ones.
Keep your post up close to the top and somebody 'll come along and put ya on to the hot ticket.

g'luck & c/6

Hooty

Ray ,Your engine calls for NGK sparkplugs.
BP8HN-10 or BPZ8HN-10 both gapped at .040.The BPZ is the resistor plug. They will have the same performance but the resistor offers less interference with electronic equipment. The P indicates that it is a platinum plug.
