We have a 1977 Hydra-Sports 178Vee with a 77' 115hp Evinrude. I changed the plugs in it the other day and the old ones had some oil deposits on them. Would this be because of the oil to fuel mix being wrong? If so how do I correct this? I have added Sea Foam to the tank once i seen the old plugs. I am going to drain the tank and replace the fuel filter. That should clean the fuel up to the motor. What can I do through the motor? Being that our boat is our first actual bass boat,I am hoping you guys can help to keep it running good for a few years. Thank you in advance.

Re: Spark Plug questions,,,

Seafoam is a good idea. Run it again for a day and pull the plugs and see how they look.
