Spark plug removal from 60hp Merc

I am having alot of difficulty removing the lower spark plug from my 2004 4 cyl 60 hp Merc Outboard. Where it's located, I can't even get my socket on the spark plug.<br />Anyone out there got any suggestions for me?<br />Thanks,<br />CK

Apologies, if it's the same thing, different terminology, but a Ring spanner, better still ratchet ring spanner works for me.
