Owners manual indicates that spark plug replacement in my 2003 150 hp Evinrude Ficht is a dealer only operation. I beleive that the issue is plug orientation in the cylinders. Seems I could do this myself by marking existing plugs, noting their orientation and replace with new plugs marked the same as old plugs. ???

Yep,that's the site you want.Print it,read it,and if you feel comfortable,go for it.Not sure if the article states it,or if I read it elsewhere,if a new plug won't index correctly (to my satisfaction) on the port cylinder head,it usually does on the starboard cylinder head.Sometimes takes me 8 plugs before I install 6 the way I want them.

DHP

Yeah I've had that problem too DHP. I've actually taken some back because they just would not work in my motor, it can be a pain. I ususally buy at least 8 for my 150, but have taken 4 back at a time.

Thanks to those who responded. "boatsetup" site was a great help.
