Spark Plug Torque

Just joined the forum and found the answers to many questions by searching. The only thing I didn't find was the torque setting for spark plugs. Don't want to learn about helicoils. The engine is a 1988 70HP Johnson MOD J70ELCCA.<br />Can anyone help me out?<br />BTW, this is a great forum with many helpful people.<br /><br />Chas

Chas R Helicoils are great and we will tell you about them when you need to know.<br /><br />Sparkplug torque is about 20 to 25 foot pounds on new plugs.There is a feel to it after awhile.<br />DHP
