Hello, asking for a friend. He has a old Chrysler 55 model number 555HA and is needing plugs for it. What kind of plugs does this take? It isn't listed in any of my books. I think it is a 1970 model.

It depends which ignition system it has.
The 55 Hp from late 60.es and early 70.es had three different systems.
1. Magneto Champion L4J or equal
2. Battery Champion L4J or equal
3. Magnapower Champion UL18V
555HA should have magneto ignition but someone could have change it.

The 85/90/120/125/150 all called for the gapless plugs.
The factory used Champion and that's what I used for years.
In fact some of my plugs were probably 8-10 years old.
Then changed because I felt guilty. :)
