What spark plugs would you recommend for a 1981-200hp Envinrude. It has been misfiring when at idle speed. Is there a particular brand that performs better than others and should it be for marine engines only? Thank you for the suggestions.

Champion UL77V or QL16V Surface Gap is recommended for your motor.

Not for OMC's. They don't like or run as well on NGK's....

Re: Spark Plugs

I have NGK platinums on my 1986 3.0 OMC and it runs beautifully. (I only bought the platinums because they didn't have the regular ones.) Mind you that's a GM inboard!

Re: Spark Plugs

4 stroke inboard engines are a different animal than 2 stroke outboards, Cobra.<br /><br />"OMC" inboard engines are not, and were not, made by OMC.<br /><br />The question is about a 2 stroke outboard made by OMC.
