The original NGK plug that FICHT used for a short time was the same one used in the Optimax back then, about $16. Today, Opti uses a different one.<br /><br />The Champion 7712 works OK, but the QC12PEP, used in the 200-250 FICHTS, seems to work better in the '98 and '99 V4's. They are around $10 but are less online or thru NAPA.<br /><br />Make sure your motor is propped for about 5800-6000 for best performance and running quality.
