Question? I got a used boat with a force 120. The engine is from 1996, runs good.I took one of the plugs out and replace it with the old one which were NGK BUHW. The cost at about $3 each. Later looking at the tune- up book I notice the plugs should be NGK BUZHW the cost is about $10 a plug. Is it ok to use the cheaper plug that the old owner used or should I buy the $10 plug? Also, what will happen to the engine if I use the cheaper plug? Thanks
Tom

Re: Spark plugs

tommy

I do know that the recommeded plug is BUZHW. The difference is the electrode between the two. The BUZH(W) has a Tungston Electrode. That is why they are so expensive. I would not worry about that and would continue to run it on the BUZH plugs, as they are the same heat range and correct reach for your motor.
