spark plugs

hi all,just a few questions on spark plugs.my ob is a 60 hp 1996.3 cylinder.at the moment the plugs i'm using are made by NGK.the plug model is 4495. is this fine to use.after how many hours use,should plugs be changed ? would i get 40 hours use before changing ? some plugs come without the'hook' on the end of the plug.are these unsuitable for my ob........thanks for any advice.

In the NGK plug catalog your 1996 2stroke 60HP should use BP8H-N-10, stock number 4838 not the 4496 thats in it.
