I decided to replace the spark plugs in my J150sledb. The book calls for Champion plugs QL77JC4 which is what I bought without looking at what was in the motor. I bought the motor used and it has been running great. Idles great and has great punch. When I removed the spark plugs I noticed they looked a little different they had a longer point on the electrode. The Number on the plug was a QL78YC. So anyone know the difference and why they may have used this plug instead of what they called for? I have not started it yet so I dont know if there will be a difference or anything I need to be concerened with?

Any Ideas?

Re: spark Plugs???

It is a hotter plug. Generally used for slow speed operation, not wot all the time. Check your owner's manual, it will tell what to use and why.

The "4" on the end of the part no. indicates a .040 gap.
