check out the mercruiser service manual that applies to your rig. in the specifications sections you'll find what the proper plug to use is... in my case, for my '75 mercruiser 165hp, L6 250 cid i use ngk br6fs (ac mr43t). i like ngks generally speaking... use what the s/m says though. the s/m is all knowing for your application....
