Looking for some recommendations for spark plugs. I have a 1988 Force 50, 507Y8C.

Thanks

Either Champions UL18V or NGK BUHX. Kind of personal preference as to which brand.

L-82 C is what the factory calls for
Or B7HS10 NGK

The UL-18V is for the 3/4cyl. motors.
They are a gapless style.
This motor calls for regular style plugs

I looked in the SELOC manual, they call for NGK BUHX, exploded diagrams reference L82C plugs. Will using the gapless plugs cause problems? I am thinking of trying both just to see but don't want to take a chance on causing any damage.

Seloc has been known to be wrong before.
Seloc is a "general" repair manual.
They cover a lot of different motors and the specifics are lacking.
Look up the parts diagrams for your motor.L82-C
