On the cowl of my motor, which is a 1959 35 horse evinrude, it says I should use the champion J6J plug, but I cant find it anywhere. champion J6C plugs are in it now. Does anyone know if that is the equivilent plug? If not, what should I use?

Re: SPARK PLUGS

BeeryFloats.... The J6J spark plug was superceeded by the J6C spark plug and is the proper plug for your engine.. Set the gap at .030 .

Re: SPARK PLUGS

thank you thank you thank you. I don't want to be running around looking for something that isn't there. I wasn't sure the J6C plugs in the motor were the right plugs. I kinda figured the J6J's could have been replaced, seeing that the motor was produced 15 years before I was even born!!! Thanks for your help buddy.
