Looking for advise and guidance, hope somone can help me out.Insalled new battery, and have problems...engine turns...no spark...
I was wondering what is the order in which you check the current coming from the battery?
Reason being i have my boat in the shop and are getting two different stories from the shop.
One being from the service manager....says that my trigger, stator, and power pack is bad. He recommends replacing all of them. Mechanic says that he tested the trigger and he got no reading off 3 of the four leads, one having a very faint reading. He recommended changing that out and see if then the stator is bad...then the power pack.
From what i gather the trigger is first, then the stator, then coils, then power pack, is this correct? I believe the trigger must work to enable the stator to work then the power pack?
Just asking to counter act the shops explanation which is due today around lunch. It seems that the service manager wants to go full tilt in the replacement phase, when the mechanic wants to diagnose one step at a time. Any advise would be very helpful. Sorry i am on the wrong board, but i have not got any replies on my original thread on the Force board, and alot more goes on here.
Thanks .....jas....
