Speaking of bad drivers...

I saw something yesterday that I haven't seen before. I saw a tractor trailer run 2 red lights within 1.5 miles of each other! He did stop at the one light that was in between them though, so I guess that's all good.
Had my wife look up the company name in the phone book, but she didn't find it. Well, a 2 second internet search lead me to their "official" name and phone number. I wanted to call yesterday as it happened, but Monday morning will be good enough, I guess. I checked the paper and I didn't see any stories about any fatal accidents, so hopefully he didn't run anymore lights on his way back to their terminal.
I'll be interested to hear what the company says when I call them. I'll keep you posted.

I bet he's not going to be a professional driver for long.
Hope he doesn't kill someone first.

Running red lights is just poor driving skills.
Any professional driver will keep his eye's open for stale green lights.

Man was driving down the street, and a light turned red, so he floored it through.

At the second light he did the same only a officer was watching, he started to pursue him and noticed he did it two more times before catching up with him.

Just as he was about to turn on the lights to pull him over the light turned green and the driver STOPPED immediately.

Intrigued, the officer asked why he ran four red lights and stopped on the only green, the driver simply answered.

"My brother might be coming the other way"

When the light turns from green to yellow it means hurry the H up it's going to turn red.

If they're any kind of reputable company then they will do something about it! In today's society an reputable company will not tolerate this due to the bad publicity. I don't drive a truck but I do drive a company with decals and they don't tolerate any bad driving. I have a "1-800-hows my driving" sticker on the back and there are serious consequences if it gets called in! None so far in 15 years!!

Last weekend, about 530 am, I was about to pull out of a gas station heading west, the gas station is on an intersection. Looked both ways, the light is red so I should be shielded from west bound traffic, so I thought. I noticed a west bound pick up truck approaching the light rather fast but I was counting on him to stop at the light. Just as I was about to go, saw an east bound pick up approaching the light pretty fast too so I waited for him to pass. They both ran the red light at the same time. If the east bound truck wasn't there or was going slower? I would have pulled out and got whacked by the other moron. I would then have to kill that sob for wrecking my boat.

Oh yeah, I called one of those how's my driving number once and got a "the number you have dialed have been disconnected".

Heres a true story. When I drove truck full time.
I would stop & fuel-up at night & grab a 12pk of beer to take home.
The boss would get so many calls saying that I was drinking & driving.

The shop was only 1mi from the fuel station.

As a diriver, I don't need these types on the road with me. If a driver runs a red light and causes a fatality, prison time is usully in his/her future. The trucking Company will payout bigtime $$.

If you have to call a trucking company, ask for the "safety" dept. and give them the truck/trailer number, date/time and location of the event.

Safety Departments from good companies, will welcome this feedback and will deal with the offender properly. New federal laws are making accidents and traffic infractions, very hard on both the Company and the driver, putting both the carrier's and the driver's operating licenses in jeopardy.
