I apologize for how big the ad is in this section but we thought these NEW Alpha 1 replacement parts are such great deals that you all need to know the details. I haven't seen any comments or questions on it yet. These are literally less than half the price than you can get from anyone else. Questions, comments - got any?

Sure.....
Tell me All about them...
I hear they're a private venture that's using aftermarket Alpha1 parts in their Own Housing....
I've Also heard that this New Case is conciderably Stronger, than the part it replaces....
Have I heard Anything that wasn't a Lie ???
The Price is Better than Great.... New Drives at Rebuilt Prices.....

So, speaking as the owner of a 28 year old #1, how good are these drives? As much as I like to save money, 28 years of solid use is hard to ignore. Hopefully, my drive won't be greading any time soon, but who knows. Maybe I just need to learn to rebuild my own drive..

It's better than a separate pop-up window add, but still too big...lose it.

Great questions everyone. For the time being no web page - this program is too new but we are already selling the units, you need to call our toll free number and talk to one of our guys - 1-800-869-1686 for more info. We are always very low pressure so feel free to call.

As you well know, there have been other aftermarket drive replacements that don't make the cut - most of which are Asian imports. iboats is by far the industry's largest retailer of rebuilt and aftermarket components, each and every one of which has to meet our specifications which are patterned after the OEM's bill of materials. One of our executives managed Mercury's parts and accessories division for years, so we know exactly what we're doing when it comes to MerCruiser replacements. We won't risk this business by handling inferior products. Our recently introduced NEW replacement drives and components meet OEM specs for design, material and assembly. They are, by the way, all assembled here in the U.S.A. Our prices are the best, and the 15 month warranty provides a new replacement shipped from our warehouse within 48 hours for any legitimate claim. Beat that!

I'll see what I can do to decrease the size but we can't lose it because this is what is helping pay the light bill. :) You can see the ad by going to this page. By the way pappy, did you know that iboats headquarters is in Draper? We are just two buildings north of the ebay building. Feel free to visit us and report to everyone else what you saw. We love customer visits.

Admin5 I am quite new to this site and like what I see. I also didn't know that Iboats was located in Draper. I'm ten minutes away there and would enjoy a tour and a followup post on what I saw...keep up the good work...Pappy

Admin5 - so these are new then? Are the parts interchangable with mercs? Is the skeg and cavitation plates shaped like Alpha 1s or MRs? Shipping is free too right?

I am going to email you with a related question

Ralph,
YES, YES, YES!!!! These are new! No question about it. I don't know how else I can say this... These are not rebuilt, not used, not slightly tried... ;) I know that the price suggests otherwise, but the fact that they are new is a big reason why this is such an incredible deal. New.

I am not in the engine department and can't answer all the questions on these personally. That is why we have our toll free number listed above. If you don't feel comfortable calling, you can email us using the email link in my signature. Shipping is free for only the next couple of weeks on these so call or email with questions soon!

Wish I would have known about this before I rebuilt my drive last year! Would like to hear some feedback from people who have bought some of these drives! How are they doing it so cheap? Almost sounds too good to be true............

Admin 5,
Not to Complain Too Much, But,
Go Grab 1 of those Techs you've got manning the Phones,+ Give Him a Keyboard........
The bandwidth here Has to be More Cost Effective, than talking on the Phone for the next Week.....
Not to mention the Labor costs Saved by answering our Question here for All to See......
Your 2nd post brings even More Questions....
Are you saying it's Offshore parts, Assembled here in the States ???
Who is the Manufacturer/ Assembler ?? iboats ???
The ad states from 1973 to 1990, Are there 2 outdrives with different Inputshafts ??? The dates imply they fit Both the Mod.1/ R drives,+ the Alpha1/ MR drives....
Is the picture in the ad Actually the Outdrive ??? Doesn't Look at all like the Alpha1s, or the Mod.1s....
Don't Bother to resize the ad... I'm getting Older, Bigger is Better.....

One thing I have found to nearly always be true...............

You get what you pay for.

They do look like a good deal however. iboats can be trusted in my opinion.
