Does anyone know anything about a speed hitch that you put on your tractor so you can sit in your seat and hook to and unhook from your different implements?

Re: Speed Hitch

My brother has a "quick hitch"<br /><br />We dont' do it from the tractor, but it's GREAT for switching implements, flip the levers and hit the road.<br /><br />We did have to modify a few of the things like box blade etc, so they would fit the pins.

oh, another thing....<br /><br />If you decide to get a hitch for your speed hitch, if your tractor doesn't have power down, watch that tounge weight!<br /><br />When we were grading for the shed, I used tractor to move dirt away from site with dump trailer.... went to dump and forgot about that lovely Negative tounge weight when dumpting.... hitch raised up, broke both lights on the trailer when it hit the ground.

Re: Speed Hitch

I thought a speed hitch is when you find out that the girlfriend is pregnant!!! (You know I just could not let that go without a comment!!!!) :D <br /><br />How about devising a quick release or hydraulic pin. Could use the tractor hydraulics to power it.

Re: Speed Hitch

no, this is just for the tractor. Intead of getting the pins in the bottom of the 3point, you just come up from under and flip to levers over them to lock them in, and then there is a another spot for the top pin just like any other hitch. Just makes it easier for hooking up.<br /><br />Do you have a link to the one your lookingat?

No Noel, sure don't, just some guy was talking on a tractor forum about he had the speed hitch and never got off the tractor to hook up.

Re: Speed Hitch

Thats gonna be a Pats easy change. He sells them through tractorbynet.com I don't have one but would like too. Mt tractor is a cat 2 and the easy changes are cat 1. They have them made were there crossover but there about $50 more. Most of the spring and summer I keep the shredder on. No real need to keep changing implements. In the winter when it goes from hay spike to box blade to grader blade to etc.. it would be nice to have.

I would like to get one for the tiller.<br />That thing can be a bear sometimes.<br />All the other stuff I can kinda throw around to get it hooked, but that tiller is heavy and I don't want to pull on it much.
