I downloaded my outdrive manual. Where are the holes that always get clogged for the speedo. My speedo isnt working. I cant blow thru the tube that attaches to the speedo on the dash. I found where it hooks up at the outdrive. I know I over looked it in the manual but I looked for like 2 hrs. I know IDIOT! So be gentle. I bruise easily.

Can I ask why you can't blow through the dash side of the tube?

I remove it from speedo and try to blow thru it and it seems blocked.

I've never dealt with one that's that clogged...anyone else? You could try compressed air...though if the clog is severe you may not do much good or may rupture the tube. If you're sure it's not kinked and that it is a clog, I'd guess it's very close to the speedo. Whatever you do don't blow into the tube while its connected to the gauge on the other side. In fact, it's probably best while you're working the tube to disconnect it from the gage. If you can pull the tube off of the speedo, maybe you can manipulate the clog or break it up, making it easier to blow out. Or if you can locate the clog, cut the tube and resplice with a connector. To make sure the gage/pitot works, you could try a jumper tube (run a fresh tube). Otherwise, you shoulda lowered your cholesterol, cooter!

The hole on the outdrive is right on the leading edge of the lower unit, almost dead in line with the water pump holes on the side. Take a small nail and try to clean out the hole. Chances are its full of mud or sand, which is likely why you cannot blow threw the hose on the back of the speedo.;)

Ty 300 looks like previous owner when he had the skeg welded had that hole welded too.
