Speedometer hose connection

I was trying to get my speedometer working and on the Volvo Penta stern drive I broke off the plastic nipple where the hose connects. Below are some pictures to illustrate my issue. Several questions:

What is this plastic piece called?
Where is the model number of the stern drive to order a replacement?
Does this piece just pull out as I am fearful of putting the necessary force to remove it?

Thanks for your help.

Look on engine cover
Should be a metal tag riveted to the drive somewhere
What year is it? It looks to be a SX drive.
I wouldn't bother fixing it. If you look in the hose that attaches to the fitting you should see the plastic nipple that breaks off.
It's just going to happen again.
Mines been disconnected for 11 years

I think my SX is older and looks a little different (but hard to tell from posted pics), so I can't help answer your questions. But I have never paid attention to speedometers on boats, even if the gauge on the dash might suggest it "works". Tach is what I think is what you want to see working. Suggest if you want to know "speed", use GPS. I think most "phones" can do that, or use an old car GPS unit.

I know the speedometer is not needed per se but it always bugs me when something doesn't work. The boat is a 2010 Glastron
