speedometer in my bass boat

I have a 20.5' cobra viper bass boat....the speedometer worked when I bought the boat......than worked sometimes.....and now (since being in the shop for general service work does not work at all.....can anybody tell me how to trace out the problem and fix it?????

Check the tube coming from the pick up. Make sure its not disconnected or crimped somewhere. Is your pickup in the leg or do you have a pitot tube?

If you have a pitot tube, check to make sure it hasn't kicked up to where it is out of the water.
