Speedometer. on xpress bay boat stopped working

Hi there
I have recently bought a 24ft xpress bay boat. I have a Yamaha VF 250
LA SHO outboard on it. All my guiges are separate, not the combined
one from Yamaha, my speedometer stopped working. I have no idea where
to start looking. Please can you advise where to start looking. Thank

There is a small tube that runs from the back of the speedo to a pitot at the stern or to the pitot on the engine. The tube is plugged, broken, or the small hole in the pitot is plugged with debris.

Thank you for the info. I don't know if you have seen the SHO outboard, but I have looked and can't find the little hole on it.
